Renée Lee is a Catholic school student under the instruction of Reverend Delman Chase. She is also a statutory rape victim of Chase, constantly being bribed for her silence before and after the sexual abuse. Renée got the upper hand on Delman and recorded one of the rapes as leverage, in hopes she could take legal measures or otherwise utilize it. When Delman found out, he demanded the video back in exchange for higher valued bribes. Renée relented to just one copy, taking the money for herself and her mother, who was sick, but she always kept another copy of the video.
She was tracked and questioned when the financial improprieties were found out. Renée originally denied suspicions, even in spite of her receiving the largest bribes. Eventually, after finding more women and girls who made allegations, the team investigated further. Renée eventually was questioned again, and she admitted to and relinquished the video to the police. Chase eventually took guilty pleas with the overwhelming evidence against him.
