Plot[]
A TV host is bludgeoned to death and Logan and Wheeler head into the world of rock and roll when one of Wheeler's idols, a famous rock star, is under the center of investigation and becomes the prime suspect.

Background information and notes[]
- The name "Ava Reese" is a play on the word "avarice".
- Jordie's misadventures in Thailand are based on the less savory parts of Gary Glitter and Pete Townshend's biographies. Like Glitter, Jordie was arrested for soliciting sex from minors in Southeast Asia. And like Townshend, he claimed his activities were part of his research for a project.
- Jordie Black's band, Twisted Strands, had an album called "Sightless in a Savage Land", which would be used as the title of a future Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode.
- Wheeler mentions she had plays to Skype with her fiancé in London, but that got canceled due to them having to chase a lead. She mentioned getting engaged in "Contract".
