Richard L. Brooks is an actor who played ADA Paul Robinette in the first three seasons of Law & Order. Brooks returned to the series as a Defense Attorney in the episodes "Custody", "Birthright", and "Fear America". He later reprises Robinette in the Chicago Justice episode "Uncertainty Principle".
Brooks is also well known by some science fiction fans for his appearance on Joss Whedon's Firefly, as a bounty hunter Jubal Early in the metaphysical series finale Objects in Space. He also appeared in the fifth episode of the series Brimstone.
