Richard T. Jones (born Richard Timothy Jones on January 16, 1972 in Japan) is an actor who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Pornstar's Requiem" as Judge Oscar Briggs.
He is known for his roles as court services officer Bruce Van Exel on the CBS drama series Judging Amy from 1999 to 2005 (with Jessica Tuck), a recurring role on the UPN series Girlfriends, James Ellison in the show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Governor Sam Denning on the CBS action series Hawaii Five-0 from 2011 to 2014, Rick on Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet from 2017 to 2018, and Sergeant Wade Grey on The Rookie (with Afton Williamson). Jones also starred in the film The Wood (with Taye Diggs).
