Ricky Moss is a neighborhood troublemaker, the friend of Lou Olsen and Jamie Stephens, and the wannabe suitor of Brenda Lally, who was protected by her brother Jake.

History[]

Moss always wanted to kill someone for fun and also try to impress Brenda as a bonus, so moss recruited Olsen as an accomplice and Stephens as a lookout. Released statutory rapist Kyle Jones was Moss's choice, invited over for drinks and weed smoking, only Jones' substances were laced with barbiturates to sedate him. With Olsen's help, Moss stabbed Jones to death, burned his hands to remove his prints, and cut off his head with a hacksaw. Moss was depressed to not get the adrenaline rush he wanted from killing and still had Olsen throw Jones' corpse into the river and poorly clean the scene and their van with bleach and sponges, while Stephens got the vague confirmation that the murder was committed and was told to leave.

Moss and Olsen started bragging about the murder around town, lying about how great it was and hoping Brenda would get world. Stephens was with them and was tracked because he used Jake's stolen ID for alcohol, and Stephens led the cops to Olsen and Moss. They were quickly found and arrested, with the evidence as overwhelming as they were wearing their bleach-covered shoes.

Olsen flipped first, confessing Moss motives of the crime. To get Moss to confess, the detectives insulted him by saying Brenda was never interested and was even less after the murder. Moss tried to falsely claim he was a serial killer, like veteran investigator Clete Dixon assumed the murder was on live TV. When Logan and Wheeler told them how the other deaths Dixon found didn't match, Moss then recanted to the one murder and claimed self-defense, but seventeen stabs in Jones' back was easy evidence against them. Moss then lamented the killing and cleaning up the carnage was far from fun for him. (CI: "Neighborhood Watch")
