Roberts is the former campus president of Hudson University.

She has controversial thoughts on rape culture, and her responses to certain rapes have attracted the Special Victims Unit's attention, such as expelling a porn star and rape victim attending Hudson due to her using the university's name in a pornography video, and failing to properly deal with a rape victim who got no support from Hudson. Because of this, she and Sergeant Benson have a complicated relationship.
At some point between 2015 and 2021, she was replaced by Michelle Dubois, meaning she most likely retired. (SVU: "The Long Arm Of The Witness")
