After he was kicked out of the house by his father Liam, Robin descended into a life of expansive drugs and sex, but it resulted in him ending up with a drug addiction and even being a victim of domestic abuse, specifically by one partner named Lydon Grant. Liam spent as much as he could on Robin's rehab, but Robin would leave the house and break his chances of sobriety again.
During sex, Robin ended up infecting Alex Thomason with an HIV strain that Robin contracted from Grant, which Alex later died from. Alex's brother Gabriel was furious, and when street advocacy didn't even work to convince men to wear condoms, Gabriel tracked down Robin and shot him dead out of revenge, posing him in a store window with the shoes in the display facing him and "killer" painted on the wall. Grant died next, his bedroom covered in his crystal meth stashes and "killer" painted on his bed pillows.
Gabriel was arrested when it was revealed he hacked his place of employment's database to find the contact tracing list and the chain of infection that led to Alex and shoot more men dead. Liam spoke at Gabriel's sentencing and was expected to advocate for his highest penalty of 50 years in prison. Liam shocked everyone by saying he was sorry for Gabriel losing Alex and requested leniency, which reduced the sentence to 15 years. Liam later told Tutuola, whose son Ken Randall is gay, he regrets never loving his son for who he was and keeping his family together to cherish them.
