Rooney Mara (born Patricia Rooney Mara on April 17, 1985 in Bedford, New York) is an actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Fat" as Jessica DeLay.
Mara is known for her portrayal of Erica Albright in the movie The Social Network, Nancy Holbook in the slasher film remake A Nightmare on Elm Street (with Kyle Gallner), and Lisbeth Salander in the psychological crime thriller film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She later starred in the 2021 film Nightmare Alley (with Bradley Cooper).
She is the younger sister of actress Kate Mara, who guest-starred on SVU and Law & Order.
