Rosalin Silvo is a low class woman with little education and previously a single mother of two daughters.

History[]

One of her daughters, Christine, had a rare medical condition, methylmalonic acidemia, which she died from in the hospital when she was only one year old on August 2, 1993, along with complications from the drugs at the hospital she was in. The drugs were meant to combat antifreeze poisoning, which was the mistaken diagnosis of Christine's fatal ailment.

Silvo was arrested and brought to trial for murder, which classist judge Oliver Taft swiftly convicted her for in a bench trial, sentencing her to a harsh prison sentence. Silvo was pregnant at the time and gave birth to her second daughter Diana, who was placed into foster care; she managed to keep in touch with Diana via visits and letters.

When Karen Campbell was arrested and tried for the critical assault of her adopted daughter, Alexis, Taft acquitted her in another bench trial, which led ADA Casey Novak to spearhead evaluations of his judicial misconduct. Silvo's case was found, and her conviction was successfully overturned, resulting in her release from prison. Taft was placed on trial for judicial misconduct and manipulating Campbell to later murder Alexis, but Taft was acquitted, despite being publicly shamed and transferred to civil court.
