Sabo Santiago was a teenager who was a member of the BX9 and raped a teenage girl named Nora Whitman.

Despite having a caring mother, Sabo was a troubled teenager and ran with a bad crowd. One day, he and his friends gang raped Nora Whitman by holding her down on the subway alongside Ricky Pinto, who physically penetrated her. Alongside this, his fellow BX9 member Sleep physically assaulted Nora's father Robert with a machete, resulting in his death in the hospital later.
Sabo was soon arrested by the Special Victims Unit, where he told the detectives that raping Nora had been Ricky's idea.
Nora identified Sabo in a police lineup and Sabo was taken to trial, where he pleaded not guilty. Despite his not guilty plea and his defense attorney fighting the charges, Sabo was sentenced to five years in prison for his crimes thanks to the help of Lorraine Maxwell, which devastated his mother. Sabo and Ricky were both later stabbed to death by members of the rival 19th Street gang in prison. (SVU: "Jumped In")
