The unnamed salesman child killer is an insurance salesman revealed to have been the killer of four children who went missing.

History[]

Running his office from a converted garage located in Queens, he'd engage with the kids by telling them tall tales and giving them ice cream. When a girl disappeared from a SoHo playground, Stabler was on the case, and after the salesman escaped, the kids were all found dead under the office's floorboards, with different lengths of time they deteriorated.

For two years, the salesman was on the run, with Stabler reportedly being so scarred to the point of the worst headaches from the trauma, as well as insomnia and nightmares involving his own children being victims. Stabler got lucky seeing the salesman while Stabler filled up for gas in Chelsea. Stabler pinned the salesman against the car, screaming "Freeze!" but really to get him to not shoot the serial killer. Then only thing that stopped him was an innocent six-year-old girl in the car, whose relation to the salesman is unknown, and who Stabler wanted to spare witnessing any horrific violence like the salesman put children through.

Stabler discussed it when retired Albany cop Sam Winfield was suspected in the murders of two HIV-positive sex offenders. Stabler sympathized, as the salesman was a bad for him as violent rapist Alan Cryter was for Winfield, who retired early after shooting Cryter dead because the case haunted him for the rest of his life.
