Judge Samuel Sorotsky is the Dargerville county judge, who presides over the assault charges against Detective Cyrus Lupo for defending ADA Connie Rubirosa from being accosted by the sheriff's deputies. He sets $20,000 in bail, which is later posted, and threw out a witness warrant for Deputy Robbie Linz in the William Timmons murder case.
Sorotsky was presented the probable cause of Timmons' informant status for the sheriff's department, which Linz was a valuable witness to. When EADA Cutter lied to him that the sheriff approved, Sorotsky unknowingly agreed, the charges were dropped, and he signed a release of records for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office to investigate for additional information.
