Sara Elena Ramirez is a Mexican-born actor who has gained considerable fame in the United States thanks to a recurring role as Dr. Calliope 'Callie' Torres on Grey's Anatomy (with Ellen Pompeo, T.R. Knight, Brooke Smith, Jesse Williams, Sarah Drew, and Chandra Wilson), a Tony-winning turn in the musical Spamalot and their role on the Sex and the City reboot series And Just Like That as Che Diaz (with Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, and Sarita Choudhury). They made two guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, first as Mrs. Barrera in the episode "Baby Killer" and later as Lisa Perez in the episode "Chameleon".
