Law and Order

Sarah Kent is a woman who knew Peter Stone in school and accused him of rape.

History[]

Sarah and a friend of hers went to a party to celebrate the victory a baseball team that Peter Stone was on. Sarah got very drunk and was unable to recall much. While in this state, Sarah was raped by Reggie Gregg who covered his tracks by making it look like his friend Stone committed the rape, due to him being passed out. When Sarah awoke in bed with Stone she was under the presumption he raped her. Sarah fled the room before he woke up. Sometime later she became pregnant while believing Stone was the father. She kept this secret, not wanting to break her husband’s heart because they were trying to conceive a child for years. Her daughter Emma was born soon after.

Years later, Sarah went to a bar where she encountered Peter Stone, now an A.D.A. and confronted him. When he does not recognize her, she angrily takes a glass and splashes it in his face while telling him that he raped her.

The charges her husband Gary wanted to press nearly succeeded in convicting Stone. Stone even started doubting his own innocence as the trial progressed. Gary also held Peter at gunpoint while believing him to be Sarah's rapist. However, he was detained, but Stone did not file charges, understanding his anger.

It was revealed, however, Gregg was the real rapist responsible for sexually assaulting Sarah. Stone was thus exonerated, and Gregg was imprisoned instead. It is also revealed that Emma is in fact her husband's biological child. (SVU: "Mea Culpa")
