Scott Laskey is an IT engineer who was wrongfully framed on the pedophile-catching show of Alicia Harding, as well as a suspect in her stalking. Harding attributed it to producer Donny Spencer, whom she fired.

History[]

When Laskey checked chat rooms to watch for pedophiles to protect his preteen daughter, he saw a teenage girl being propositioned by numerous pedophiles she was seduced by. Laskey hacked the server and went to the desk sergeant with the chats. When he was rebuffed, he went to the girl's house and warned her, saying she needed to call the police.

While Harding's team and the police were rushing pedophiles out to be arrested and charged, a hidden camera got Laskey warning the girl. By Harding's account, Spencer doctored the footage to keep the show's ratings. Even though Spencer said it was her idea, Harding said she would always carefully watch the footage ever since.

The aired, doctored footage led to the police charging Laskey, and even though the prosecutor dropped the charges when the real tape was presented, Laskey was slandered, demoted in his job, and barred from visiting his daughter by his ex-wife.

When Harding was stalked in 2011, he was suspected and brought in by police from his office for questioning. He refused to answer questions until his lawyer got there, where he told the truth to clear his name. The other precinct confirmed his account and his arrest was voided and he was allowed to go.

The stalking were later proved to be by Spencer himself and serial killer. Adam Grafton (SVU: "Pursuit")
