Quotes[]
“ | Two kinds of women in this world. Those that have breast cancer, and that are scared to death of getting it. Articles you skip on the way to the sports page, I cut out and keep in the drawer next to my bed. | ” |
–Anita Van Buren |
- Jack McCoy: You're reputation precedes you.
- Claire Kincaid: As does yours. Including your relationships with previous assistants.
- Jack McCoy: Three, in the past 24 years in this office, and that includes an ex-wife.
- McCoy: You're right. It's a tits and ass world. Men are pigs and we should all rot in hell. Unfortunately, that's not my jurisdiction.
- Kincaid: That is not what I'm saying and you know it. If Haas killed Ann Bennett, I don't want her to walk.
- McCoy: But you'd like it a whole lot better if Haas were a man. Isn't that what's bothering you, Claire? If it were Dr. Frank Haas, you'd be the first one out there with the tar and feathers. But a woman actually taking advantage of another woman, that one doesn't show up in the collected works of Betty Friedan. [sigh] Can we get a drink now?
- Kincaid: Speaking of which... I checked.
- McCoy: On what?
- Kincaid: You only had three women assistants.
- McCoy: You're the one who wanted to know the truth.
“ | Haas tells one patient she's got a cure, it's a little white lie. She tells 2 patients, it's unforgivable. She tells 3 patients, she's a murderer. She tells 4 patients, she's a damn murderer, and it's all admissible! | ” |
–Jack McCoy |
