Sheila Tierney DuMont is the estranged adopted daughter of Judson Tierney.
Background[]
Tierney forged a birth certificate and raised her as his daughter because her real mother, Suzanne Mollinax, was murdered, with Suzanne's abusive husband Mike Mollinax wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for her murder. Sheila's father, Jack Colino, wanted Sheila dead after killing Suzanne because she was born from an affair and Colino was a career criminal uninterested in a child. Judson was his accomplice, who murdered Colino to save Sheila's life when she was only a month old.
Sheila was raised by Judson and his wife Lenore, who never held his past against him. When she was 18, Lenore died and Sheila wanted to travel abroad, she found her birth certificate and saw Suzanne was her real mother. Confronting Judson, she heard from him a different lie, that Lenore couldn't conceive and he was the one who conceived Sheila from an affair with Suzanne. Sheila was devastated, and already distant from her family, leading her to leave Judson for decades and keep him from her two daughters. Judson regularly sent Sheila cards with 100 dollar bills he stole during his robbery spree.
Scheherazade[]
Judson was dying from lung cancer and had to tell all his crimes to the police, so detectives spoke with Judson, then later tracked down Sheila to talk with her. She was oppositional of the idea of seeing Judson again, insisting for the detectives to leave her family alone and refusing to say why she and Judson were estranged. Eventually, the detectives investigated and found out Judson's history, and Judson's and Sheila's accounts revealed the truth about her conception and beginning of her life.
Sheila finally faced the truth and was heartbroken, hoping to see Judson again and thank him for the life she couldn't have had if he didn't save her. She rushed to the nursing home where he was dying in hopes of some final words with him to say goodbye. The first time, her nerves were too wracked, and she fled before Judson woke up. Tragically, Judson died seconds before Sheila even entered the room where he was staying when she tried to reach him a second time. In shock, she knelt next to his hospital bed, then started to cry from not making peace with Judson when she had the chance and direly needed so.
