Steve Martell was a man who was an accessory to the murder of his wife, Laura Madsen. He seduced his 14-year-old stepdaughter, Maggie Conner, and manipulated her into helping kill Madsen by promising to marry her after her mother was dead. After Madsen's death, however, he lets Maggie take the fall for Madsen's death and quickly gets engaged to another woman. When Benjamin Stone tells Maggie how Martell used her, she testifies against him. He is then imprisoned as an accessory to murder.
