Susan Boyd is the killer of Dr. Fay Walsh, whose husband Donald Walsh Boyd was stalking out of wanting a relationship with him. She worked under Fay at her university lab, and knowing she’d be working late, Susan took the chance to kill her.
She’s presumed to have been solicited by Donald explicitly for the purpose of killing his wife, as Fay suspected an affair was happening, so Donald is arrested. Susan refuses to testify, so Donald is acquitted, but she instead is taken to trial once her stalking comes to light, of Donald and a former employer, as well as her forged employment records.
Susan, with her legal background, prepares to defend herself and his confident about securing an acquittal, which shakes even the prosecution. Her ultimate legal fate is left unknown. (L&O: “Animal Instinct”)
