Tariq Amir was a Muslim and a suspect in the murder of Meena Hasni.
Amir's family arranged a marriage for him with Meena, but she refused to marry him because she loved another man, Rudy Ventano. Tariq went to Meena's father Kazi to let him know that his daughter was a whore.
Tariq tried to leave the United States after Meena's death, but he was picked up by the INS. It later turned out that Tariq wasn't involved with Meena's death. (CI: "World's Fair")
