Taylor Barnes is the daughter of Colin and Anne Barnes, who was deceived by sexual predator Sean Albert, who greatly envied her father to the point where he raped his donor daughters. Taylor herself would later become a victim of Albert.

Albert took Taylor to the hotel where he played his favorite song and they shared a dance. Albert deceived Taylor by telling her that he was her biological father something she believed because she was not close to Colin. Albert proceeded to seduce her and they had sex.
The next day, Albert left Taylor at the hotel room by herself and was arrested by SVU. When he met with her mother, Albert lied that he killed Taylor.
SVU went to the hotel where they discovered Taylor in a hotel room, alive and well, awaiting Sean's return.
Benson tells Taylor that Sean deceived her, but she insists that he's her real "father." However, it was shown Taylor was crying at being tricked by Albert. This event along with the rapes of her half siblings led to Albert being in prison on multiple charges of statutory rape.
