Olivia: What happened to you?
Elana: Excuse me?
Olivia: You were a judge. You had respect for the legal system. You had compassion for victims.
Elana: I still do.
Olivia: No, you don't. You're letting a rapist like Sir Toby use you.

Joelle: I thought he was in for a year.
Odafin: It's a split sentence. He does six months now and six months later.
Joelle: Does that mean he can just come by?
Odafin: No. Your order of protection is still good for a year.
Joelle: I hope so.

Donna: Ivy is like me. She pushes things, but she knows when to stop. Right, Ivy?
Ivy: Right.
Donna: No more partying, right Ivy?
Ivy: No more partying.
Amanda: I hope you mean that. Ivy, I'll void your arrest for now but if you act out again, I'm picking you up.

Lakira: You're too late. Dakota's dead.
Katriona: What? What happened?
Lakira: I don't know. They won't even tell me. They say I'm not her family. I'm her family.

Background Information and Notes[]

  • This episode was originally not slated to be the season finale, but it was eventually declared as such after production on SVU was prematurely suspended on March 13, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which therefore forced the season's episode count to be shortened.
  • This episode continues stories from the episodes "I'm Going To Make You a Star", "At Midnight In Manhattan", "Can't Be Held Accountable" and "Must Be Held Accountable".
  • This is the only season finale of SVU to air in April to date.
  • The song that plays during the beginning and the end of the episode is "Holy Water" by Freya Ridings.
