Tom Landricks was the prime suspect in the rape and murder of Karen Stencil and the rape of his daughter Jackie.
Background[]
Landricks was obsessed with creating a family that he could control to his liking and make him feel like God. He had four children, two sons and two daughters, with his wife Angie and demanded that they bow down to him. He intentionally created a bigger family by hiring two men, James Randall and Charles Eno, to have sex with Angie, siring two stepsons, Philip and Antoine. When Angie later got a hysterectomy after her last birth, Landricks kidnapped their nanny Karen Stencil and held her captive for several months, all the while repeatedly raping her. She eventually threatened to go to the police, prompting him to kill her and cut off her fingers and head. With no other options to continue his fantasy, Landricks took semen from James and Charles and inseminated Jackie with a syringe to get her pregnant.
Resilience[]
After the assault, Jackie is seen in a subway and attempts to jump in front of a train, only to be saved by a bystander. A young man named Karl Sirett was following Jackie before she attempted to commit suicide, so the Special Victims Unit try to find him. When Detectives Benson and Stabler go the house, they ask for a DNA sample for the whole family and Landricks agrees, knowing he has nothing to hide. She claims that, while walking to school, she was shoved in a van, strapped down, and raped, with her attacker having a ring on his penis. They also link the ligature marks to Karen and realize the offender is back. When they dive deeper into the DNA, they find out that two men raped her, with one having high cholesterol. Returning to the home, Stabler and Benson talk to Jackie and ask if two men raped her, which she doesn't answer. Next to her room is Randall's, who has a container of high cholesterol medicine, so they suspect that he is one of the attackers. When Karl turns out to be Jackie's former lover, they clear him. Then, Benson and Stabler ask about Jackie's room; Landricks claims that he rents it out for money. After it turns out that James and Charles were hired to have sex with Angie, not Jackie, they suspect she was attacked by someone else close to her.
During questioning, Angie admits that Philip and Antoine are her children and that Landricks used Jackie to make more children. To protect Jackie, who broke down into a childlike state, they send her to a hospital. Wondering where his family is, Landricks travels to the precinct to find out where they are, but his questions are left unanswered. Later, Jackie admits that she was not attacked while on her way from school, but that Landricks told her that, as Angie couldn't pregnant, she was next in line to be a mother. He then manipulated her into believing it was the right thing, strapped her down to a bed, and injected her with the syringe despite her fear. Even though Stabler gets a confession, Jackie refuses to testify, forcing the SVU to rely on Karen's murder to implicate Landricks. Dr. Huang, having studied Landricks's behavior, implies that after killing Karen, he kept the missing parts as trophies. Using DNA evidence, they identify Karen's remains. When they look at a photo, Stabler notices that the bracelet Sally gave him matches Karen's. While in Jackie's room, she found the item in her drawer and took it. Realizing that Landricks buried Karen's body in Jackie's room, the floor is pulled off, revealing Karen's head and fingers. As the fingers and head match mitochondrial DNA to Karen's grandmother, Landricks is implicated, forcing him to confess to her murder. For his crimes, he is presumably executed.
