Tom Metcalf is a man who claimed that he was Alden Kessler to get close to women.

History[]

Metcalf worked at Hudson University. He would approach women who wanted to do anything to get their child into college and claimed he was Alden Kessler, the admissions director. After gaining their trust, he would manipulate the women into sleeping with him. During the investigation, Metcalf admitted to his M.O. and said he would write a book about his process to help other men like him. Before the detectives arrested him, they found a tape of him with two women inside a hotel room that he was using under an assumed name.

Later, when the presiding judge made it clear to ADA Barba and his attorney, Nikki Staines, that he didn't care what the jury decided, Metcalf pleaded down to a lesser, misdemeanor charge of criminal impersonation in the second degree. (SVU: "Imposter")
