Tommy Keegan is the son of Leah Keegan and Matt Kramer who witnessed his nanny Jodi get raped and beaten to death.
History[]
After witnessing Jodi being raped and beaten, Tommy escaped from the house and ran down the street covered in Jodi's blood. He was later found by a man who tried to clumsily help him but Tommy kept running and was found by a woman who suspected that the man was trying to harm Tommy. The Special Victims Unit were called and Tommy grew a close bond with Stabler, with Tommy refusing to leave Stabler. Stabler brought Tommy home, bathed him and gave him clean clothes until Leah's husband Jake came to retrieve Tommy.
Despite Tommy and Jake believing that they were biological father and son, the detectives discovered that Tommy was the son of Matt Kramer, who Leah was having an affair with. A furious Jake violently assaulted Matt before murdering Leah the next day, which resulted in Jake being imprisoned after attempting suicide. With Leah dead and Jake in prison, Matt received full custody of Tommy. (SVU: "Paternity")
