Treat Williams (born Richard Treat Williams) was an actor who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Spiraling Down" as Jake Stanton.
He was known for his roles on the WB Network television series Everwood (with Emily VanCamp, Sarah Drew and Vivien Cardone), the USA Network television series White Collar (with Tim DeKay), and the Hallmark Channel television series Chesapeake Shores. He also starred in the films Hair (with John Savage and Beverly D'Angelo), Prince of the City (with Jerry Orbach), The Phantom (with Kristy Swanson), and The Christmas House Hallmark series (with Jonathan Bennett and Sharon Lawrence).
On June 12, 2023, Williams was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle on Vermont Route 30, near Dorset. He was airlifted to a hospital in New York, where he died at the age of 71.
