Background information and notes[]
- Shane Mallory is obviously based on real-life musician Kurt Cobain (with Krisis standing in for Nirvana), while Patty Voytek was based on Cobain's widow Courtney Love, with some elements of Nancy Spungen thrown in. Also, the surviving Krisis members allude to a legal battle with Patty over the release of their final album, mirroring the real-life battle between Love and surviving Nirvana members Krist Novoselic and David Grohl over the release of the single "You Know You're Right".
