Vance Shepard was a suspect in the murder of Emily Keefe.

Shepard was the founder and boss at Ad-Vance United (A.V.U.), a company that owned several websites. He used a website called TastySugar.com to go on a double date with Emily Keefe and her friend Pamela. He would then date Emily and support her financially. He was so happy with Emily that he even bought the TastySugar website.
He confessed to the murder, but was reduced to accessory when it was discovered that his daughter Chantel was involved.
He was later stabbed to death by his daughter before her impending term in prison. (SVU: "Sugar")
