IMDb profile

Victoria Wyndham is an Emmy Award-nominated actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Scheherazade" as Rita Colino.

Wyndham was born Victoria Camargo, but has used the stage name Wyndham for most of her career. She worked for two years in the late 1960s on the CBS daytime soap Guiding Light. She would later land the role she is most known for, the character of Rachel on the NBC soap opera Another World, beginning in 1972. Wyndham was the third actress in the role (the first was fellow daytime veteran Robin Strasser), but portrayed Rachel for the longest time, 27 years in all. Wyndham's Rachel lasted till Another World's final episode, and had one of the last lines of dialogue.

She was nominated twice for Daytime Emmy awards, in 1978 and 1979, for her work on Another World. Wyndham has been a part of several stage productions over the years, including Love Letters and a Broadway run of Fiddler on the Roof. Wyndham, in an interview around the time of the airing of the "Scheherazade" episode, said that the home used as the setting for her one scene in the show, was located not too far from the studio in Brooklyn that was used for production of Another World.

Wyndham has not had any known credited acting roles in film or TV since her 2007 appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Away from acting, she has done several works of sculpture (her role on Another World was written part of the time with scenes doing sculpting or showing the character's past work in an art gallery), and in more recent years, painting. Wyndham also rides horses, and has competed in dressage events in the past.

Several members of Wyndham's family are actors, including her father Ralph Camargo, her sister Felice Camargo, and one son, Christian Camargo. Wyndham's other son, Darian Minnick, is a photographer.
