Viva Nuñez is a woman who, alongside her daughter Luisa, was held captive in a beach house by William Lewis.

History[]

Viva came to clean Linda's beach house where William was holding Benson captive. William greeted her and Viva apologized, saying that Linda asked her to come and clean and that she didn't know there would be people in the beach house. William told Viva it was a last minute thing before greeting Viva's daughter Luisa, which made both Viva and Luisa uncomfortable. Viva told William they would come back later but William told Viva to stay before dragging both women in and locking them in a room. After William was knocked out, Benson helped escort a frightened Viva and Luisa out of the room they were being held in. Benson asked Viva if she was legal, to which Viva replied no. Benson told Viva that if the police found out that Viva was here, they will take away Luisa. Benson then let Viva and Luisa leave the house, telling them to run. (SVU: "Surrender Benson")

Viva later testified against William Lewis in court. William tried to make it look like Benson was unprofessional in helping Viva, bringing up Viva's illegal citizenship and how Benson had told her to leave the house just before she had knocked him out again. (SVU: "Psycho/Therapist")
