Law and Order

Walter Briggs was an elderly man who was murdered by his young wife Charmaine Briggs who neglected to help him when he had a heart attack.

History[]

Walter was a highly esteemed author who had quite a successful career. Unfortunately, he had a deadly heart condition and required care in his later years. The lack of care provided to Walter by Charmaine raised concerns from Walter's daughters Delilah and Judith, who became even more concerned when they discovered that Charmaine was frequently pumping Walter with erectile dysfunction pills and making him have sex with her every night, resulting in them contacting the Special Victims Unit to report that their father was being raped, saying that he has dementia and cannot consent. Rollins and Carisi visit Walter and Charmaine and notice that Walter seems to be forgetful with what he says. When Charmaine politely but hastily asks the police to leave as Walter is tired, Rollins and Carisi become concerned.

Later that day, Walter had a heart attack but instead of calling for medical attention, Charmaine called a cab and planned to take Walter to Quebec to get medical attention instead of getting it at a nearby hospital but were met at the airport by the SVU, who stopped them from boarding a helicopter. After a court hearing, a judge orders that Walter be admitted to Westchester General to receive care. Carisi spoke to Walter alone, with Walter reminiscing about his love life and sadly saying that now women were batting him around and that tonight a nurse would wipe his ass. The next day, Benson informs Amaro that Walter died of another heart attack last night. (SVU: "December Solstice")
