Wang Chu is a Chinese government spy in collusion with Elise Garvik to send sensitive American security documents to the Chinese government. She stole the documents from her husband Martin, who worked at a defense contractor office, and passed them to Chu in six separate clandestine meetings. Chu was notable for lacking handsome some features so Elise wouldn’t fall in love with him, and for a birthmark on his left hand. He also once met Elise’s daughter Tracy Meegan, who he remarked looked as if she were Elise’s sister.
Martin took the fall for Elise’s crimes and was imprisoned. When journalist Alex Boone, a released political prisoner of China, was planning to reveal the truth, Tracy ordered his murder to protect her mother’s memory. When it was revealed Alex was researching the Garviks, his wife Liu Kang pointed the law and justice system in the direction of Elise, then Tracy. Tracy was imprisoned, and Martin was released from his overturned conviction.
