Summary[]
The Special Victims Unit must contend with an angry neighborhood watch group when a girl goes missing near a building housing several sex offenders.
Plot[]
SVU discover Eastman's plan to keep McKenna and Lonnie separated from Lonnie's parents, with them deciding to visit Eastman.
Khaldun and Rollins meet Eastman and McKenna, as the latter notes on how they might be here about Lonnie. Eastman sends her away and talks to the detectives about Lonnie. He voices anger at how Lonnie relapsed into his predatory ways but voices ignorance about Lonnie's murder, claiming that while it wasn't right, it is just for his "crimes" against McKenna. After he goes to his house, the detectives remark that Eastman is lying through his teeth and take note on his unusual wealth, noting he could have outsourced the job. Rollins comes up with a strategy, that the perp might not be in the system but could be related to one of Eastman's parolee's.
SVU find Antonio Johnson through a DNA match left behind, they force him to tell them who did it. He tries to refuse and claims he was working the night Ceranda died, but they note on how he slipped up as they did not mention that night and threaten to send him back to prison, where he will likely face harsher charges and he reluctantly tells them it was his half-brother Sam who is tracked at a basketball court, being identified by his reluctant brother who ducks in shame. Tutuola and Rollins call out to Sam, bringing in the protesting latter while noticing he has the same jacket as Lonnie.
At the precinct, Sam confesses to framing Lonnie by wearing the same jacket and kidnapping Ceranda but reveals that he got high while dragging the protesting Ceranda. He also reveals what led to the murder and stating it wasn't intentional, though the observing Carisi remarks this does not justify anything since it is still murder. Carisi begs that Sam does not ask for a lawyer, as the interview continues on. Tutuola and Rollins then asks who set this up and Sam implicates Eastman as the orchestrator, while begging them to not prosecute Antonio. Hearing enough, Carisi confirms to Benson they have enough to arrest Eastman. He brings up Benson's earlier statement and Benson reminds him to make the sentence hurt for the crime and Carisi tells her that he plans to ensure that Eastman does at least 25 years to life in prison.
Khaldun and Tutuola arrest Eastman for facilitating both Lonnie and Ceranda's murders. As he is taken into custody, Eastman callously passes off his actions as him protecting his stepdaughter, whilst being cocky that his connections will be able to exonerate him. He tells his stunned stepdaughter to call his brother to get him a lawyer. The detectives put Eastman in the car and Tutuola tells him, there's no way he's getting out of this.
At the courthouse, Carisi is given the texts from Antonio and cash withdrawal documents that show that Eastman orchestrated the murders. He tells Rollins that he intends to have the Johnson brothers testify against Eastman. Amanda receives a call from Atlanta, where she is told her father Jim had a stroke. She decides to fly out immediately since no one can get a hold of Jim's new younger wife.
At Lonnie's funeral, his parents meet Benson and Tutuola who tell them that Eastman will be looking at hard time. The Listons thank them for clearing their son's name and tell them that McKenna called them to tell them she met Lonnie the night Ceranda died and swore her to secrecy. They note the truth may have sent him back to prison but would've saved him. Soon Ceranda's parents (who were notified of the truth) arrive and apologize to Lonnie's family for their loss and they do the same for them. When Ceranda's mother stated that their children had died for nothing, Tutuola rebukes this, stating that they died because of one man's hatred. All parties then go to pay respect for Lonnie.

- Carisi and Benson discuss Elliot Stabler's condition and investigation into the death of his wife, Kathy Stabler, from the previous episode "Return Of The Prodigal Son".
- Hasim Khaldun mentions the viral arrest of the wrong suspect, Jayvon Brown, from the episode "Guardians and Gladiators".
- Carisi seems to be sympathetic to the released sex offenders having to live somewhere, possibly due to his time undercover at another sex offender home in the episode "Sheltered Outcasts".

- Coincidently, that episode also had Hasim Khaldun, in his first appearance.
- It is revealed Carisi has been seeing someone. The next episode, "Our Words Will Not Be Heard", reveals that someone to be Nicole Harper, an activist for missing women of color.
