Summary[]
Elliot Stabler returns to the NYPD to take on the city's most powerful organized crime syndicates and rebuild his life in the wake of a devastating personal loss.
Plot[]
Following the death of Kathy Stabler, Elliot goes on a hunt to find the people responsible for it. He sneaks into the holding cell of the courthouse and asks about Sacha Lenski, informing them about receipts found from the body shop he worked, linking the two them. When Ayanna Bell finds out about this, she asks Elliot to be escorted outside as he might jeopardize her case. He leaves telling "You're all dead men, every one of you".
Lieutenant Marv Moennig calls Elliot and warns him to thread lightly reminding him that many people wanted to shut down the Organized Crime Control Bureau and that Elliot is this programme's poster boy. Elliot replies that he wants answers, closure for Kathy and his children. Later Benson handsover to Elliot the evidence collected so far regarding Kathy's case along with a phone found in Lenski's apartment. Benson tells Stabler that the tech guys couldn't open it and Stabler acknowledges that he knows someone who can do it. He gives Benson a letter which he meant to give it to her on the day of her award ceremony asking her to open it sometime later.
Stabler later meets up with Jet Slootmaekers to look through the data from Lenski's phone and find that he has spent quite some time in a warehouse called as "Securico Storage". They also discuss about an artpiece refered to as "We have nothing but thoughts and memories between us". They later locate the owners as Hart LLC, a shell corporation registered under Manfredi Sinatra. Upon a raid at the warehouse, Stabler finds his ID from Italy in a safe. Later it is discovered that the warehouse was used by Rafiq Aaron Wheatley also called as Rafi the poet. Later it is revealed that all the documents and certificates from were counterfeit and were a match to the ones found in a raid in Puglia a few months before. a question is raised in the ethnicity of Rafiq as Sinatra hates men of other ethnicity.
Stabler then meets with Professor Angela Wheatley, asking her on finding out how Rafiq was killed. She replies that she knows why Rafiq was murdered but not by who. Stabler rebutes telling that his wife was murdered the previous week. Stabler then reads Rafiq's poem "I am reminded of a woman in grief. Her son divided by land, by triggers and blood" and comments that he was a really gifted poet. It is later revealed that Rafiq's father was an addict and Angela had divorced him. Stabler asks one question to Angela, "How long does it take?", referring to grief of Kathy's death. Later he meets with Pat Sharkley and tells him to forward a message to Manfredi Sinatra that "What happened in Puglia didn't stay in Puglia".
Later the Stabler family attend the funeral of Kathy Stabler. Elliot Stabler, Jr. breaks down telling that he misses his mom. After the funeral, Elliot receives a text from Manfredi to meet him. Elliot questions him about the warehouse, the incidents that happened in Puglia and Kathy's death. Manfredi denies it all saying that, "If I wanted you dead, you would be the one in the ground right now". Manfredi goes to Richard Wheatley's house, questioning him about what Rafiq was doing in the warehouse. Richard replies that they using it as a legitimate business enterprise. Manfredi tells him that he knows about his work in Puglia and warns him indirectly about his conversation with Stabler. Marv informs Stabler that Ayanna is incharge of the task force that would be formed. Later he meets at a museum and convinces her that he would be a good candidate for the task force.
Stabler meets with Angela, asks her about her marriage with Richard when they are attacked by a group of bikers. Ayanna tells Stabler that they are working on bringing down Richard Wheatley down and that they have to be focused setting aside their personal feelings. Stabler receives an anonymous text to meet at a amusement park. Later in that park, Richard kills Manfredi and Stabler finds him taking the later's phone and making an anonymous call to 911 about the incident. He runs into Olivia at the hotel who wants to talk to him about the letter he gave her but he walks away.
