Whoopi Goldberg is an actress who played Chesley Watkins in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent Season 5 episode "To the Bone" and Janette Grayson in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 17 episode "Institutional Fail".
Goldberg won an Oscar for her portrayal of Oda Mae Brown in the movie Ghost (with Tony Goldwyn). She won two Golden Globe Awards for Ghost and The Color Purple. She also has been nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards, but she never took the trophy home. She has won two Daytime Emmys, one of which was as host of the talk show The View. She was a co-host alongside Rosie Perez. She also starred in the Sister Act film series (with Wendy Makkena) and voiced Shenzi the hyena in the 1994 animated film The Lion King (with Jeremy Irons and James Earl Jones). As well as this, she starred in the animated movies The Pagemaster (with Mel Harris and Christopher Lloyd), the 2002 film My Fair Madeline as Miss Clavel, and Luck (with Eva Noblezada) and the animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers as Gaia (a role taken over by Margot Kidder in the sequel series The New Adventures of Captain Planet).
She portrayed the bartender Guinan in Star Trek: The Next Generation (opposite Brent Spiner) and its sequel show Star Trek: Picard (with Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, and Jeri Ryan), as well as in the movies Star Trek Generations (with Malcolm McDowell) and Star Trek: Nemesis.
