Principal Woodside (first name unknown) is the head of the Aaron Burr High public school and a fraudster. She falsified the grades of her students in the hopes of sending them further into their needed futures and out of impoverished and dangerous neighborhoods.
A student, Cesar Ramirez, from a nearby charter school, Sunrise Academy, was murdered because he was tutoring one student, Moses Dolan, for his changes at enrollment and transfer into Sunrise. Woodside informed the boys responsible for the murder Cesar’s love interest, Jolie Henderson, was being questioned, hoping they’d impede her testimony. It turned into a nightmare when the killers violently beat and gang-raped Jolie.
She was pressured to testify from being charged with grand larceny on the grounds of denying her students proper education in or out of the school. She didn’t budge to protect the school, but she named the murderers and rapist out of guilt and regret, hoping it would lead somewhere. But no one was willing to definitively testify, until Moses convicted his older brother Abel, one of the guilty students, to confess and give up the other kids.
Abel and the three other boys all took pleas, and Moses received a scholarship reward for his enrollment. Woodside’s status is left unknown pending results of the larceny charges. (L&O: "Boy on Fire")
