Yusef Barré is a teenager who was suspected of drug dealing.
History
Officer Shannon McKenna and Amaro chased Yusef into his apartment building, where Yusef hid. When McKenna shot at Yusef, the bullets ricocheted and hit McKenna. Thinking Yusef was shooting at them, Amaro shot at Yusef but the bullet hit Yusef's lower chest. Amaro soon discovered Yusef had no gun and tried to apply pressure to stop the bleeding.
After Amaro was acquitted of any wrongdoing, he went to try and apologise to Yusef and his family for his actions, to which Reverend Curtis stopped Amaro and told him it was not a good time. As a result of the shooting, Yusef was paralysed and was left unable to walk.
