Zoe Callas was the Captain of the Major Case Squad of the NYPD, succeeding Captain Danny Ross and the captain pro tem Lt. Stanley Maas.
Raised in a Greek family in Astoria, Queens, Callas made a name for herself in Internal Affairs before elevating to Major Case Squad. It might have something to do with her flawless efficiency, cool handling of investigations and ability to appease both her higher-ups and subordinates.
Her pragmatic style and political savvy is what makes her a standout as captain and respected by her detectives. She'll be the first to point out your faults, but also the last to withhold deserved praise.
As the new captain in the MCS squad room, Callas has filled big shoes with a sensible command and sharp intellect.
She mentioned that her oldest daughter got small tattoo and she thought the next thing would the Downtown club scene then rehab, however, the daughter is in pre-med at Columbia University. (CI: "Lost Children of the Blood")
She was replaced as captain of MCS by Joseph Hannah.
